UPDATED 7/18 at Noon: Doc here, reporting from Hartford, CT, the scene of tonight's HUGE Beach Blanket Bango event at the mighty Art Cinema.
The decorating is done, and last night we finished up the swag bags for the first 50 male/female couples. The stage is set, the orchestra ready...Are you ready to dance?
It was hopping last night at The Art Cinema, and if that is any indication of what tonight will bring, hang on to your lug nuts.
An added bonus to last night was that The Good Doctor finally met in person a special out of town visitor to The Art: The legendary Candi O'Leary!
As a long time contributor to The Journal, I had never had the chance to meet Candi, as she and Mr. O'Leary are based out of Florida. But that ended last night, as they were warming up for tonight's extravaganza by meeting a few friends up front by the stage area of The Art.
The best part was that Candi and Mr. O'Leary could not have been any nicer! That, and the fact Candi is a bona-fide smoke show. Tall, blonde, and naughty! A total package!
Final notes for tonight's event:
- Get to the event early. The swag bags will go quick!
- My Meet & Greet in the lobby starts at 6:45, and runs til 7:45. Come up, say hello, ask questions.
- Reminder: The VIP Balcony is for M/F couples only. Single men are not allowed up there at any time.
- On top of security, we will have Art Cinema Ambassadors on site to answer questions during the festivities.
- Lastly, I would love to meet you during the event tonight. Step up, & introduce yourselves if I don't do it first. I am easy to pick out of a crowd (meatball scented cologne, plus I look like the Lizardo avatar naturally).
Do not miss this event, folks. You will be kicking yourself if you do.

Updated 7/16:Things are progressing nicely in Hartford in preparation for the event. The team at The Art Cinema was hanging decorations last night, and will continue tomorrow through Friday.
My in-box has been blowing up with couples and singles stating that they will be there on Saturday night. The confirmations on SLS have been outstanding as well! I will give you an update later in the week on those numbers.
And I talked with my special physician's assistant for the evening, and she is super- psyched to be returning back to The Art. And no one is happier than I to see her return!
It's getting close, folks.

7/13/15 Update: Doc here with an update on the HUGE Beach Blanket Bango Party THIS SATURDAY at the mighty Art Cinema, 255 Franklin Ave in Hartford.
The buzz is high, and this event is shaping up to be The Art Cinema craziest one yet! The Good Doctor is looking forward to the ladies' sexy beach attire, or lack thereof.
As with all our events, the first 50 male/female couples (with their paid admission) will get an exclusive Art Cinema swag bag, filled with very cool things for all your senses.
I will be flying into Hartford on Friday to begin final prep work for the event, and rumor has it I might have a special physician's assistant alongside me.
Here is my suggestion kids... Get plenty of rest this week. Take your vitamins and say your prayers, as you will need everything you got Saturday night at The Art Cinema.

The mighty Art Cinema of Hartford, CT will be hosting their next big event on Saturday July 18th at 7pm - Beach Blanket Bango. To promote this event, The Good Doctor whipped up a little something to get your juices going for the event.
