Doc here with an update on The Journal’s migration from Blogger to Tumblr. 

Google threw yet another curveball  early this morning by reversing their stand and backing off the XXX blogger policy change. As it stands right now, it will be business as usual back at The Journal of Adult Theaters,  and back at The Journal on Blogger due to this change!

So what happens to the Tumblr version of The Journal? Nothing. It will remain as a micro-blog, and a separate stand-alone platform for The Journal. The Good Doctor has picked up a ton of new readers on Tumblr in the past 5 days, and there is no reason to abandon them as a result of Google’s policy reversal. 

Plus… I put a butt-load of time and energy into the Tumblr site.  So The Good Doctor will be present on 4 social media platforms to follow The Journal: Blogger, Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook. 

New reports will hit Blogger first, and be recapped on Tumblr…

For starters, The Journal isn't disappearing. I need to find a new home for The Journal, and in the 4 hours since I got that kick in the nuts from Google, I have already begun the process of migrating 5 years and almost 2,200 reports to that new home (which may be temporary, or may be permanent).  It's going to take almost two weeks to migrate, due to daily import limits at the new home.

I will keep you up to date on new developments, and where we go from here.  The Journal of Adult Theaters on Blogger will remain, and may end up being a referring link blog to the new home. Maybe a text only version. 

The Adult Theater Database is safe. Even at the new home, I will provide a link that will take you to the Database.  That one is easy.

Couples are still not allowed into the theaters. They did add a new theater just off the main entrance. It has individual seating however no couches or other types of seating. The original theater in the back of the business remains the same. They still also have private small booths.

On the few visits I’ve made the clerk is friendly and the entire place is clean. They still get some of the trolls but just wish they would let couples into the theaters!!!

It's been a while and this information is really nothing exciting.  I had the chance to visit one of the bookstores on your database, and this is one that needs some updating.  As we all know, the day of the week, time of day, and even the season can have an affect on the outcome of one's visit.  Therefore, I first need to give you the variables, then each person can evaluate as they deem appropriate. 

I happened to be in Louisville on some other business on a Friday morning in mid-January of 2015.  After reviewing the data base (which I find very helpful when traveling), I searched for any theaters close.  Since the CEO was not with me, I knew this was merely a reconnaissance mission.  

The 2004 Theater seemed like the right target of opportunity since you advised that you needed a report.  After my business was concluded, I shot over to the known address and indeed, the address is correct and the store was open.  There were probably 15-20 cars outside, so I thought that was impressive for Friday around noon.   I entered and was greeted by a friendly staffer who happened to be on the phone but did answer a few questions for me.  


The front counter was immediately on the right after entering the front door.  The front room is like many toy shops selling various sex novelties for both his and her pleasures.  Not a great selection and I felt like that was more of a "we sell toys because we can't admit we are an adult theater".   


There is a second door that allows you to enter the arcade section which has a $10 admitting fee, but no fee in the booths.  There seemed to be around 10 booths in the middle of a donut,  if you will, and a handful on the outside ring with a walkway between which circles like a race track.  I entered one booth and it did have a gloryhole, but it had been boarded over.  Upon exiting, I walked the circle, but since it was all men (not the Chairman's cup of tea, thank you), I exited the video arcade area with out more details.  

Now the 2004 does have two separate "theaters", one for straight and one gay.  I paid another "door" fee and entered the small straight theater.  No one was in this area, so I was able to snap a few pics which I am sharing with the great readers.  I know this is no nonsense and no fun report, but intel can be very important in this hobby of ours.  If I had to guess, I would say there have been good times in the past (hence the worn out couch in the pics) and there could be more again...on the right night.

Long time. Just a quick field report regarding Fantasy Factory in New Westminster, BC (address in the adult theater database HERE) . Since the demise of the Fox Theater in Vancouver some of the local XXX book stores have done some renovations. 

Fantasy Factory now has three couples booths There are quite large, with a good screen and sound. The place is not that clean, judging from the gum on Bambi's shoe. There was not a lot of people for a Friday night, but we were there before 10pm so that may explain it. 

The cost of the booth was not cheap ($18.90) but you got to pick your own movie. Pics attached from Friday Night.

• Once you have identified the theater you want to visit, make a recon visit on an off night (a weeknight would be ideal). Most of the times, I suggest the Mr. make that trip, but a joint visit is even better. • Before your first visit ladies, prepare a small "naughty bag" just in case you decide to jump into the deep end that first night.
